Introduction: |
Alcohol has ruined more marriages, families and individuals than most of us would dare admit. Its consumption has divided friends, destroyed fellowships and seduced young people – emotionally, physically, financially and spiritually.
The effects of unbridled marketing and consumption of alcohol is also wrecking havoc in the corporate world too. There seems to be no subject that brings such controversy among Bible teachers as the subject of alcohol and wine. In the Old Testament writings alone, there are twelve different types of references used in more than 251 places about strong drink, alcohol, wine and more. The subject of alcohol is no small matter to God. Nor, should the subject of alcohol be handled in a trivial matter by the individual, family, church and corporate world. |
