"So says Jehovah, who gives the sun for a light by day and the laws of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who divides the sea when its waves roar; Jehovah of Hosts is His name; if those ordinances depart from Me, says Jehovah, the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me forever. So says Jehovah, If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth below can be searched out, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says Jehovah!" Jeremiah 31:35-37

false_peace US President Bush is pushing hard for an Israeli/Palestinian peace agreement. But, what he is doing and the things he is saying publicly are indeed shocking! Israel is our ONLY democratic ally in the Middle East – what is the President doing? The President has stated that Israel is the “aggressor” and “occupier” of land that does not belong to them! How foolish can an American government official be! Leviticus 25:23 makes it clear that the land belongs to God and He gave it (Psalm 105:8-11 – spoken a thousand years after the promise to Abraham!) to the children of Israel. He is now demanding that the various political factions that make the Olmert government possible do not leave the coalition, but keep Olmert in power so the “peace process” can proceed as it wants!

Consider this “blog” written about what President Bush is saying:

BUSH BRANDS ISRAEL AS AGGRESSOR! (January 10, 2008)

This afternoon President Bush made a public statement on the “peace process” at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem. His statement is making headlines that are damaging to the State of Israel.

For example, he said, “The point of departure for permanent status negotiations…seems clear: There should be an end to the occupation that began in 1967.”

By making this point, President Bush has let the Palestinians off the hook. While the President refers to the “Roadmap” he is simply giving the Palestinians a free pass on the central provision that the first stage of the Roadmap is the successful end to terror strikes against Israel. This, everyone knows, has never happened.

Instead Israel is now the “aggressor” that must make the most important concessions. Israel must move its defense forces out of what Bush calls the “occupied” territories. Israel security concerns are skimmed over with statements calling on the Palestinians to control terror. Something they have never done.

And to add insult to injury Bush clearly states that he believes Israel must loosen its control of Jerusalem.

The Bush Administration has gone from treating Israel as an ally against our nation’s common enemies to pressuring Israel to make dangerous concessions when there is no partner for peace.

While we are disappointed by President Bush’s tone we are not defeated in our campaign to save Jerusalem and Israel. This past week we sponsored a Human Chain around Jerusalem that demonstrated Israel’s commitment to a united Jerusalem. Our efforts in Israel have educated tens of thousands of people to the dangers facing Jerusalem. We will continue these efforts.

While President Bush was forcefully interjecting himself into Israeli domestic politics (lecturing members of the government coalition to support Olmert’s lead) Eli Yishai of Shas told the President that it is ridiculous to sign a peace accord with Abbas since he only controls half of the Palestinian land and that Jerusalem can not be divided. While Shas should not be in this government with those views Yishai deserves credit for confronting the President with some truths.

And in a private meeting, Netanyahu also told Bush to lay off Jerusalem and to abandon this dangerous peace initiative he is currently pursuing.

ADDITIONAL “BLOG” ABOUT PRESIDENT BUSH’S REMARKS (Posted – January 11, 2008)

gods_timepeaceSo, Israel is deemed the aggressor by George W. Bush; confirming this man is not, solely, inept but out of touch and out of his mind. A floundering man in fervent pursuit of his worldly legacy more so than the truth. A president whose pinning of his religion on his sleeve, ultimately has translated into an menacing naught. Groveling to this self-serving, self-anointed, misguided and short-sighted man will (whether it is the rightful significance of Jerusalem or Israel’s right to sovereignty) merely, inflate this, long before now, over-inflated megalomaniacal dunderhead. I, for one, perceive this president, and his equally self-serving gaggle, as a threat to peace between Israel and her copious enemies: those whose sole ambition is the annihilation of Israel. Mister Bush is a fool and to my mind an emboldened anti-Semite, his biased and repugnant actions and words are confirmation of this fact.

“Bush’s complete lack of understanding of the geo-political problems in the Middle -East speaks volumes. His quest for a legacy at the expense of the State of Israel is apparent. Americans will best remember Bush as a president who accomplished little.”

“I am horrified and, quite frankly, embarrassed that the leader of the world (Israel and west) would utter such utter tripe as the policy of the USA! What was he thinking (or more likely Condi Rice!!)?

“President Bush revealed his utter ignorance of the affairs in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with his referring to “occupied” territories today. What “occupied” territories?Israel fought and won the Six-Day War! Whatever land was conquered became part of Israel de jure and de facto.

Mr. Bush lives in Texas; accordingly, he should understand what living in conquered territory means. Texas is dejure and de facto part of The United States.

Likewise, Judea and Samaria, Hevron, Efrat, Shvut Alon, Ma’aleh Adumim, Har Homa, Gilo, Pisgat Ze’ev are all part and parcel of Israel proper. The latter three are neighborhoods in Jerusalem, the capital of Israel. What rights do the Palestinians have to these places?

Were they ever a sovereign nation recognized by the United Nations incorporating any of these places? Did they ever win these places in a war with Israel since 1967?

Yes, Mr. Bush is downright deluded into thinking he can force Israel into capitulating its sovereignty over land it has lost many lives in both conquering and defending. Israel conquered these lands in war. The war was fought in order to prevent the surrounding neighboring countries from annihilating the population of Israel. Furthermore, the land is all described in the Bible because it was all inhabited by Jews as well as others in the past. However, the land was given to the Jews by HaShem as the Land of Israel.

Mr. Bush needs to take a history class of the Land of Israel so that he will understand what revisions the Palestinians have made to recorded Middle Eastern history. Such revisions are recent–in the last forty years.

Truly, Mr. Bush needs to ask the question: Are the Palestinians living in Gaza not part of the Palestinian people? What kind of peace can be made with half of the Palestinian people? Such peace is untenable and treacherous! Moreover, why should Israel even consider giving up any land when the Palestinian charter invokes the total destruction of Israel and its Jewish inhabitants?

hourglass Isn’t Mr. Bush aware of how dangerous it is to drive on the roads in Israel without checkpoints? What rational thinking can there be for Israel to remove the checkpoints so that terrorists can ambush cars on the road and suicide-homocide bombers can have free access to major metropolitan areas in Israel?

Mr. Bush needs to attend a class on the geography in Israel and the surrounding territories. His ignorance as well as the ignorance of the American Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice have now opened up a can of worms for Israel diplomatically. They simply do not understand what the history of the area has taught Israelis: The Palestinian leadership wants to eliminate Israel from the Middle East and world history. In the Yale Israel Journal, Spring, 2003, Daniel Fichter, Sharon Goott, and Stephanie Kissel cite the following quotation from the article “An Alternative to Arafat.” Boston Globe, March 23, 2003 :

“Abu Mazen initially caused controversy when he argued in his doctoral dissertation in 1982 that Zionists had conspired with the Nazis to use the Holocaust as a means to increase the world support for a Jewish state in Palestine.”

Is President Bush aware of President Abbas’s PhD dissertation that he completed at Moscow’s Oriental College? Such knowledge would surely give Mr. Bush a better understanding as to why Mr. Abbas continues to support the revisionist education of Palestinian children in viewing Israel as the aggressors of Palestinian land, Zionists as murderers, and Jews as less than human.”

(EDITOR’S NOTE: We are indeed saddened by the words and responses of US President Bush to the people of Israel. God chose Israel (Isaiah 43:1) “above all nations” (Deuteronomy 7:6-9), and God will never allow Israel to cease to exist (Jeremiah 31:35-37).

The goals of the enemies of Israel are clearly stated in Psalm 83 – may God give us all wisdom and may we all PRAY fervently for the US President that his eyes would be open to the Word of God and that his heart would be controlled by what the Bible says, not the political motives that have dominated his words in the last couple of weeks.)
